Maple Pecan White Chocolate Chip
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup - the good kind not pancake syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup each , white chocolate chips and chopped pecans ( I sometimes leave them whole )
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Beat the butter, brown sugar and maple syrup until well mixed, it will look like wet sand.
- Add the egg, vanilla and baking soda.
- Add in the flour and mix until it is combined.
- Mix in the white chocolate chips and the pecans.
- Drop tablespoons of dough about 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Flatten them slightly with your palm.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until pale golden and set around the edges.
